Unit has been tested with external regulated DC power source and the unit powers on. No details on functionality, unit is sold as is, as described only - not tested for programming functions. Device is powered by a NiCd 7.2v 1500mah (6x1.2v sub-c cell battery pack) that needs to be replaced.
