Description: Periodically we experience problems with our scanner. Today is one of those days. Depending upon which view you choose, the first scan will show horizontal lines and/or cross hatching marks. Rest assured, these are not on the card itself. Usually scanning problems are confined to color pictures but today it's "advanced" to black and white! (You will note that the second scan (reverse side of the card) exhibits none of these problems.) Complete Nalley's Potato Chips "DIPPERS" Food Box: Very Large 12-7/8" X 16"+ GAYLORD PERRY, Seattle Mariners & member, National Baseball Hall of Fame Scarce Seattle area 1983 regional issue Nalley's produced two sets of oversized football cards of the Seattle Seahawks before this card (part of a six card set) was issued to promote its products through the MLB Seattle Mariners. Issued in 1983, the picture portion of the card measures approximately 9" by 11" but with the two side panels (one devoted to player biographical information, the other the Mariners' 1983 A.L. schedule) it expands to nearly 17" by 11". Offered here is a complete box which will allow the buyer to decide whether to keep intact or trim away any part considered excess. This particular box originally contained "Dipper" style potato chips, as indicated on the reverse side. At least two different style of chips were offered with different color (reverse side) boxes: Red for "Dippers" and Blue for regular potato chips. NOTE: Due to the size of this card with its panels, it was necessary to scan each side twice to show the edges. The buyer will receive ONE card - not two.
