Description: Small quarto (11 by 8 1/4 inches) 20 page stapled society newsletter, and promotion for the Gaylord (originally a co-op apartment building in Los Angeles on Wilshire Blvd., across the street from the Ambassador Hotel). The building still stands. "Gaylord Wilshire, known to his contemporaries by his middle name of "Gaylord," was an American land developer, publisher, and outspoken socialist. He is the namesake of Los Angeles' Wilshire Boulevard and founder of the city of Fullerton in Orange County." "Gaylord Glimpses" was oriented to the traveler visiting Los Angeles, with ads for "Resort Hotels:" from the midwest to California, including Long Beach, and Lake Tahoe, plus "Social News," information on the Ramona Pageant, "Pictures and Scenes at Studios, and "News of the Theaters" among other interesting information. This issue commemorates the fourth anniversary of the opening of the Gaylord Apartments. Buster Keaton and Miss Constance Talmadge are mentioned as guests; among many others.
