Limited edition color lithograph print by Gaston de Latenay (French, 1859-1945).Titled “Les Chasseuresses”, dated 1896 in the lower right corner of the image. Pencil signature in the lower left margin. “No. 94” written in the lower right margin, likely from an edition of 100. Sagot Editeur Paris blind stamp in lower right margin.Appears to be in overall good condition: scattered creases in margins, light mat burn in margins, scattered light foxing and small stains in margins, one very tiny pinhole in upper center margin, all over foxing on the back. About Gaston de Latenay:Gaston de Latenay, born in Toulouse on April 5, 1859 and died in Paris 16th on June 12, 1945, was a French painter, watercolorist and engraver. Gaston de Latenay briefly studied at the Académie Julian. Member of the Society of French Artists and the Society of Watercolorists, he participated in the universal exhibitions of 1889 and 1900. He mainly painted landscapes, often maritime, of Brittany, Belgium and Artois, notably by his lithographs published by Edmond Sagot, devoted to the port of Antwerp and the landscapes of the Scheldt. Gaston de Latenay remained independent of all artistic movements and schools of thought, even if he was influenced by Art Nouveau. He developed his own poetic vision of nature. Very early on, he combined Japanese influences in the manner of the Nabis.**Terms and conditions**We can only accept credit card payments online and cannot accept checks or wire transfers, etc.Any sold items with a value of over $200 will require a signature confirmation upon delivery. **PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR TRACKING INFORMATION FOR UPDATES TO ENSURE, YOU, THE BUYER, ARE AVAILABLE FOR DELIVERY** If an item needs to be sent back to the return address for absence at delivery, you will be sent an invoice for re-delivery charges. *INTERNATIONAL BUYERS* YOU NEED TO PROVIDE A PHONE NUMBER THAT IS BEST TO REACH YOU FOR YOUR CUSTOMS LABEL UPON MAKING A PURCHASE.
