Description: G.A.R. GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC, BRASS BUTTON, GOODWINS G.A.R. GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC, BRASS BUTTON, GOODWINS. This listing is for an authentic G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) brass button. The front is embossed with the interlocking initials, GAR and has a striped textured background. It measures approx 7/8" in diameter. The back is marked GOODWINS PAT. July 27 1875, with simple loop hook. In very good condition with some surface wear. When packed for shipping it weighs 4 ounces.
