Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Gandhi – Voice of a New Age Revolution My Review: I have read extensively, and written to a degree about religion, God, and religious figures throughout time. There are a handful of humans from whom wisdoms arose that I adopted as part of my life’s philosophy. Gandhi is one of them. You can learn he was taught three languages; as is deemed necessary during his learning years in India; Hindi, his native dialect and English. The latter would prove useful when he encountered heads of State and those from whom India wanted its independence – England. His pragmatism led to his demise, as it thus happened to others carrying message of peace and harmony. To gain insight to a single man that indeed changed the world, this is the book. In the movie made of him starring Ben Kingsley, he is at one point talking to fellow Indians working under oppression in South Africa. In this depiction he is speaking to a meeting of those wanting freedom from the rules and regulations from their English masters. In this scene he says, and I will paraphrase: “They may kill me. But then, they will have my dead body. Not my obedience!” To this day and even as I write this, I get chills. Eight pages of photographs. CGK
