Description: GAME USED TURF from Nebraska 1995 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME at Sun Devil Stadium! This piece is EXTREMLY RARE and this is the only one that we know currently exists. Our owner of Big Red of the Rockies, Gary Novotny, chartered a private Jet on Jan 1, 1996 to Las Vegas and then continued onto Phoenix Arizona on Jan. 2, 1996 to watch the #1 Nebraska Cornhuskers play #2 Florida Gators for the 1995 National Championship in Tempe Arizona. After the game concluded, Gary headed to the first row of Sun Devil Stadium to celebrate and cheer on the Nebraska players. He was standing next to freshman place kicker, Kris Brown's dad and Kris came over to say hi and celebrate with his family. Gary told Kris to tear some of the turf off the field and Gary carried in the envelope the tickets were previously in. This is the exact turf from Sun Devil Stadium on January 2, 1996 where Nebraska defeated #2 Gators 62-24 in complete domination to win back to back National Championships. Please refer to the Certificate of Authenticity from Big Red of the Rockies and the original travel itinerary on the back of the framed piece. Gary's story of chartering the jet last minute on the 48 hour trip was featured in a Nebraska published book telling fan's unique stories throughout the years. The chapter of the book was titles "flight of the phoenix". Tommie Frazier signed the 8x10 glossy photo with a black sharpie to complete the rare piece. The photo is of Tommie Frazier's signature "The Run" where Tommie later won game MVP with 199 rushing yards. The photo and grass has been preserved in a custom frame that is 13 wide x 20 height.
