Description: Gamble-Cabot Cardiac Diagnosis, 9 Columbia Viva-Tonal Records, 1920s. Between 1920 and 1922, while at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Clarence Gamble and Dr. Richard Cabot recorded heart sounds that became widely used in cardiac teaching for decades. The records are 78 RPM and were released in the 1920s by Columbia in the Viva-Tonal style. They are housed in a binder impressed with Columbia and titled Heart Beat Records. The binder has wear as shown in photos. The binding/spine itself is in poor condition and most of the record sleeves have come detached from the binder. There is yellowing of the record sleeves as well. This 9 record set originally came with a booklet but I do not have the booklet. This is being sold with the records only. The records are in fairly good shape as shown. The back of each record gives a description of the heart sounds contained within. Please look over all photos carefully prior to bidding as I am a no return seller. I try to describe the condition of my items as best as I can but the photos do the best job. This is a very unique collection. Please contact me with any questions.
