Description: For Sale: Wonderful Vintage 1970s Galibier Hivernale Mountaineering Boots. Tag on tongue of insert reads: Richard Pontvert. They are size 44 (US size 10 Mens). The boots have NOT been cleaned and are sold in the original condition. The leather is in great condition, the inner lining shows wear but can be spot cleaned. Soles have wear on the toe as shown in photos. Tread is in excellent condition. One prior owner who did multiple Northeast winter climbs in the White Mountains of NH, Green Mountains, Mount Washington, Huntington Ravine. The previous owner is parting with these and is hoping they will pass on to the next avid climber. Vintage and antique items have been used and well loved and as a result often show signs of wear.
