Description: Gaillard French hammered 3mm saucepan, 3 quart capacity. This pan is a work horse. The perfect size. The small surface area and tall sides are ideal for red sauce, bechamel or a ragu. Perfect size for soup or pasta for 2. Boil eggs, steam rice, mac and cheese. Measures 8 inches in diameter, 4.25 inches in height. Handle is 7.5 inches long, sits firm on the side, no movement. Copper rivets. Bottom sits flat on the burner. Condition is really great. I have taken great care of this pan if I say so myself. The pan has just been cleaned and will be boxed shortly as I live above the ocean and without a light vege coat of oil, copper tends to darken quickly.I would put the pan as built in the 1950s based on an article on the internet, see Vintage French Copper, Gaillard.
