Description: G. Mennen Williams Autographed Card w/ Interesting Note Michigan Gov D.88 A thick 4x6' card autographed by G. Mennen Williams. This also comes with a letter from Sarah Carter Brooks noting that the only signature she could obtain at some dinner was the enclosed Williams. There is also a handwritten letter from David Harvey, also confirming that this was the only signature they could get. Williams (February 23, 1911 – February 2, 1988) was the 41st Governor of Michigan, elected in 1948 and serving six two-year terms in office. He later served as Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson and Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court. All items grade high. Provenance: We are proud to offer some autographed items from the Frank M. Flack collection. Flack's collection was obtained through the mail and spanned nearly 60 years. The majority of these items appear to be from the 40s-60s and feature signers from various genres with many truly obscure and rarely seen signatures.
