Description: These have been in storage since the mid-80s. They were stored on a ESD-safe black Conductive-Foam sheet inside an ESD plastic bag. I tested EVERY one (none failed) in the pictured test setup using the following Test Procedure. INITIAL CONDITIONS: 1. Vcc (Pin 16) = +5Vdc2. GND (Pin 8) = GND3. Latch Strobe (Pin 5) at GND (allows real-time ABCD input instead of latched value)4. All other inputs floating (high) providing the A,B,C,D, and DP inputs at 5V to display BCD character "F." PROCEDURE (done for each of these listed displays - one at a time)A. Turn on power - observe display = "F."B. Ground BLANKING Input "BI" - Observe display goes blank - then remove ground and display = "F." again C. Ground LED TEST input "LT" - Observe display = "8." and all segments have evenly balanced brightness - then remove ground and display = "F." againD. Sequentially ground inputs A, B, C, D, and DP - Observe display (in succession) = "E." " ." "-." "7." "F " All of the devices passed the above test, exercising ALL INPUTS and DISPLAY SEGMENTS and the DP, and the vast majority of the logic provided by the on-board chip. Please use eBay messages to ask any questions or for any specific test you might want performed before purchasing, as I don't accept returns especially on ESD sensitive devices.
