Description: FULLY INVOLVED LEADERSHIP Strategies in Firefighting Leadership G Ludwig SIGNED This listing is for the paperback book Fully Involved Leadership Successful Strategies in Leadership From The Firefighter To The Fire Chief by Gary Ludwig. Written by a former Fire Chief, the book is filled with powerful leadership topics and at its core it addresses the values of trust, the two qualities needed to be a fire service leader. Among other topics Ludwig covers how to keep your emotions in check, how to keep from making a wrong decision, why it is important to show honor to your firefighters and more. The photo of the table of contents will give you an idea of the other topics dealt with in this book. This is the kind of book that can be of great value to anyone in the Fire Fighting or EMS profession, a profession where you could find yourself being forced into a leadership role at any moment, and if you already are in a leadership role you know you can always use a quick refresher. Gary Ludwig has 41 years of firefighting experience in St Louis and Memphis and served on the IAFC EMS Board for 22 years. He has written a column for Firehouse Magazine for over 20 years and also written over 500 articles for professional publications. This copy of the book is signed and inscribed with a personal note to a 38 year veteran of the St. Louis, Missouri Fire Department who the author served with. The book is in good, pre-owned condition. I have flipped through it several times and didn't see any other marks, writing, dirt stains, tears or creases. The binding and pages are tight. Shipping for this book will be wrapped in bubblewrap and inside a padded envelope and sent via Media Rate Mail within the lower 48. For shipping elsewhere in the USA please message me with your zip code to get potage info. TERMS (PLEASE READ BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS): Payment: All you should have to do at the end of an auction is click "Pay Now". There is no need to ask for an invoice or wait for one. I will send an invoice if you request one but my first priority will be to mail the items I have been paid for. Shipping (PLEASE DO READ): ANY requests for special packaging, handling, etc. MUST be transmitted through EBAY (not regular email) to the seller within 12 hours of the end of the auction. Sellers are pretty much forced to follow Ebay policies for shipping. That means the package must have tracking. In over 25 years on Ebay I have never tried to make money on shipping. Please bear in mind that the estimated postage includes a slight bump to cover Ebay fees which are charged on postage and other postal services (Insurance or Signature Delivery Confirmation for items expected to go over $150, etc) and to help cover the costs of all those petroleum based packing materials (peanuts, bubble wrap, etc). Many items are also insured in case of loss/damage. If a package was insured through Ebay's ShipCover, that will not appear on the postage label or in the postage amount. On heavier or oversize items, I may ship via FEDEX GROUND to try to save you money and/or delivery time. Similarly, if I can combine shipping for you I will, and will refund any significant savings. Please note that I will not combine items if their size or nature makes it impractical, more expensive or dangerous (I won't ship a lead weight and a porcelain vase together). International Shipping: International buyer's are responsible for their country's import duty or tariffs. International payments may require additional postage to include a tracking number or signature receipt. Sellers are pretty much forced to follow Ebay guidelines for shipping, which means there must be a tracking number used. For International shipping that means Priority Mail, Express Mail or Registered Mail. Frankly, I hate seeing buyers spend that kind of money on postage, but I have little choice but to protect myself by following the guidelines. ETC: The items I sell come from various collections and estates. Generally these items have been used or stored. I have no way of knowing whether the previous owner ever smoked, had pets, stored peanuts, or ever had a musty basement, etc. I do at least a cursory cleaning of the items I sell and will do my best to remove dirt, display dust, odors etc, but I CAN NOT be responsible for things like dust in tight corners, odors I didn't detect, or some mark buried in the middle of a book. You're not paying for my time on an hourly basis and you're certainly not paying professional conservator/restoration rates so please be reasonable. I try to be as factual as I can when describing an item. I don't claim to be an expert or collector of the things I sell. I sell a wide variety of items and may not know that a light is supposed to go on when a certain button is pushed or that an item is supposed to have 6 pieces instead of 5, or if an item came with a specific sticker/decal on it. I try very hard to describe things as best as I can and provide good photographs. Please look at the photos, if you don't see something ask me, don't assume that it is there. Please don't expect me to be able to answer your more technical or historical questions. If you can put it in words I understand or tell me where to look, I'll do my best to answer your question.
