Major articles include Jamaica, Captain Cook, life on a coral reef, the 1st photos from the ocean floor, Aymara Land in the Andes, Maryland, Ireland, Vermont, Nicaragua, Chinese farmers, America’s debt to the hen (chickens), Chickens of the world,the Zapotecs of Mexico, Wild Flowers of the Western US, many articles on China, Czechoslovakia, moths and butterflies, a journey across the South Atlantic to collect specimens of flora and fauna, Stalking the Dragon Lizard on the Island of Komodo, Alsace, the airship “Norge”, France’s Midi, the 1927 Mississippi River flood, the Black Hills, Admiral Byrd’s Transatlantic flight, living jewels of the sea, animals of the Canal Zone captured by camera at night, by caravan across Central Asia, Sicily, Latin America from the air, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Vasco de Gama’s explorations of Asia, Jerusalem, East of Suez to the Mount of the Decalogue and money of the world. All issues intact and no pages missing, though I did see a tear on a page. Covers and bindings all tight - remarkable good condition for the age. April has a damaged cover (see photo) and most covers and spines have light wear and soiling, especially December's back cover. Slightly musty from storage. Great historic collection from an era before TV and newsreels brought the news of the day.
