Hand crafted from wood, ceramic tile and silver pewter. He cut the wood by hand, added a slide hole in the back for hanging, painted the front and sides black and painted the back a mahogany color. Next, he applied the fun neon Frida Kahlo with monkey self portrait image to the top of a ceramic white tile that he baked and cured. He added a silver pewter hook knob to the bottom front and glued the tile to the front. The tile has natural edges and looks great against the polished look of the black front.
