Description: FRENCH GENERAL AT WATERLOO ADRIEN AIME FLEURY de BAR AUTOGRAPH LETTER Autograph letter signed in French concerning military matters.Measures 5 1/4" x 8"In good condition Adrien Aimé Fleury de Bar is a French general and politician born onDecember 13, 1783in Thiais ( Val-de-Marne ) and died onDecember 24, 1861in Paris.Biography Volunteered in 1805, he participated in the Battle of Waterloo as an officer. He continued his career under the Restoration , participating in the Spanish campaign in 1823, then in the Algiers expedition in 1830. He was appointed field marshal in 1830, then lieutenant general, becoming Marshal Bugeaud 's deputy . He retired as a division general in 1848.
