The raised hummingbird is beautifully hand painted and the vivid irises are perfectly sculptured from porcelain by Franz expert sculptors. The long-tail of the hummingbird and the stem of the Iris form the two handles in a graceful sweep. A creamy white glaze shaded in pale green serves as the backdrop for this collection. This lovely porcelain hummingbird and iris collection sculptured plate FZ00430 was designed by Kuei Mei and sculptured by Li Yun and is a work of art almost too beautiful to use. All Franz Hummingbird tabletop items are functional and approved as food safe. 2001 Limited edition collection is longer manufactured and pieces have to be acquired from collectors.
