This is a Franz Hanfstaengl (1804-1877) detailed gravure after the original 1853 painting by William Holman Hunt (1827-1910) entitled “Das Licht Der Welt” (The Light of the World). Type on the print includes “Holman Hunt” (bottom left), “Gravure Hanfstaengl” (bottom right) and “Franz Hanfstaengl, München” (upper right). Paper measures 10'' by 16-5/8'' and frame measures 10-3/4'' by 17-1/2''. Gravure image is in very good condition. The paper outside of the plate impression has light spots/marks and imperfections (see last 2 photos). Frame has original glass is in good condition but with some age/wear.
