Description: Here's a collectible with value in several categories (i.e. King Ranch, Thoroughbred Horse Racing, Triple Crown Winners, and Frankoma Pottery) that would be a great addition to any collection! This 10 3/8" diameter plate features a bridled Assault standing over "Assault King Ranch 1946". All three triple crown races, Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, and Preakness Stakes, are printed around the rim. Three little crowns, and the King Ranch brand, top it off! The dark green color, and style, are from Frankoma's ranch pattern of dinnerware. Note that there were only 400 made and this is #184. The following is impressed on the back of the plate: "This limited edition plaque was introduced in Kingsville, Texas on May 4, 1996 at a commemorative celebration for the 50th anniversary of Assault's 1946 Triple Crown Championship. 184 - 400". Note that, although it is called a plaque, it does not have pre-made holes for hanging. The plate is in near mint, if not mint, condition.
