Joseph Paul Lash (December 2, 1909 – August 22, 1987) was an American radical political activist, journalist, and writer. A close friend of Eleanor Roosevelt, Lash won both the Pulitzer Prize for Biography and the National Book Award in Biography. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Franklin Library was a premium bindery of leather books from the 1970's to 2000, renowned for their fine craftsmanship. There were numerous styles produced - the most desirable being these full leather bindings with beautiful attention to detail. (Lesser books were made of imitation leather and spine only "quarter bound" in leather.) Each book is bound in a signature color, and exhibits 22 karat gold foil stamping of the titles and jacket designs.
