About the Artist: Born in 1927 in New York, Frank Michael Tauriello was a well know and respected artist in the western United States. Based in Santa Ana, CA, He was know for his etherial paintings of western motifs and his detailed portraits. His portrait subjects varied widely and included those of Clint Eastwood, Merv Griffin, John Wayne, Winston Churchill and various State Governors. As interest in American artists blossomed in recent years, Tauriello has emerged as a very popular artist and his paintings have become highly sought after. The scarcity and uniqueness of his work has further advanced his status as a highly collectible artist. Frank received his Fine Art Degree from Syracuse University and continued his studies at the Art Students League in NYC. Later, as a professor, he taught many classes on portrait painting and drawing. Hew served as a Juror for the California Art Association and was a Board Member Emeritus of the American Society of Portrait Artists. Frank died on May 27, 2010.
