The rare ‘mottled’ pattern is particularly sought after by collectors. The deep brown colour that changes with age also gives the wood the pleasure of being an antique that can be nurtured. The environmentally friendly, waste-free wood from which the box is cut produces a different grain on each side of the box covering the light source, giving it a rich natural look. TALIESIN 3 is a floor lamp designed by the world-renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright as part of his summer house, which is the culmination of his ideals, arranged in the size of a table lamp, with the approval of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. The design is commonly used to create pleasant indirect light without glass or shades, and the block covering the lamp converts the light source into vertical light, which is reflected by the shading plate to create the pleasant brightness of indirect light.
