Object: This auction is for a very rare Frank Lloyd Wright FDN designer plate designed by Taliesin artist, Susan Jacob Lockhart, for Tampopo titled "Moon Dream." Artist/Studio: Susan Jacobs Lockhart (1935 WI - 2022 MA) was a Taliesin associate architect and designer for the Frank Lloyd Wright and for Edith Heath Ceramics, among others prestigious design establishments. She grew up in FLW's first Usonian house, Jacobs I, and in his first solar hemicycle, Jacobs II, and from 1958 until 2002 was a resident apprentice at FLW's community of artists and architects, Taliesin (Wisconsin) and Taliesin West (Arizona). Lockhart was prominent in the world of graphic, glass, textile, wood and other decorative design fields. Along with her essays and publications on design, there are many published studies of her work and of her life that celebrate her all-around talent and endless creativity.
