Description: Up for sale is a Antique Ceramic Transferware/Hand Painted Soup Bowl made in England by Francis Morley & Co. Circa 1840s-50s. The bowl features a transfer pattern known as the "Flying Bird" pattern and has some hand painted areas. The pattern features a green, orange, blue, and gold bird with blue, pink, red, green, and gold floral decoration and gold gilt/flow blue accents. The base has a mark that reads "PERSIANA" This mark was used on pieces made by Francis Morley & Co in England during the 1840's-1850's. There is minor wear to the decoration and a lot of crazing and typical manufacturing imperfections as seen in the photos. Otherwise the bowl is in good condition with no cracks or chips. Overall the bowl still displays beautifully. Measurements are approximately:1 5/8" Tall to Rim.9 1/4" Rim Diameter.6 1/4" Inner Rim Diameter.4 3/8" Base Diameter.
