Description: FRAMED MOTHER POSTAGE STAMP This stamp was issued on April 20, 1987 in Atlanta, Georgia to honor moms, especially on Mother's Day. It is one the set of 8 in the "Special Occasions" issue. For many years, the Postal Service received requests for stamps that could be used for special occasions. These were the first U.S. stamps to be specifically created for a specialized retail market and the first U.S. booklet to have the UPC (Universal Product Code) bar code on the cover. The second picture shows a close-up of the stamp. Inner mat is a dark plum color, outer is dark blue. It is in solid medium blue wood frame with gold braided accent (approximate size is 6 x 8 inches). Frame comes with heavy easel for standing. This makes a very attractive gift to honor mothers. The Stamp is UNUSED U.S. POSTAGE STAMP. FREE Shipping For other interesting inexpensive memorabilia,(items make great gifts) please visit our e-bay store by clicking on: Visit store: TECHLINK
