This high quality Wooden bassoon is made in the USA by Fox, one of the premier bassoon makers in the world. This instrument includes standard keywork. We have just finished overhauling this instrument and it plays wonderfully. All the pads were replaced on this bassoon, and now it plays cleanly and evenly up and down. This is a great high end pre-professional bassoon, and because of the high quality fox design, you will find that it will play better than most other brands. A bocal is included with this instrument as well. In terms of cosmetic condition, this instrument is in nice condition. This instrument does show some wear over the years, but still presents very well overall. The Metal plating is nickel, and was polished to a shine, but does have scratches and plating surface wear. Look at the many close up photos below to get a better idea of the condition of the instrument. There are some scratches, dings, and enamel loss in several locations on the wood body.
