Description: "Four Plays of Christopher Marlowe," edited by Havelock Ellis, includes sixteen full-page copper engravings by Albert Decaris, supervised by the Societe des Procedes Serge Beaune in Paris. The page size is 9¾ x 12¾ inches, with a total of 336 pages. The book, designed by Adrian Wilson, features fourteen-point Monotype Bembo for the text and various sizes of Carolus for the title lines. Woodcut monograms for each play and the colophon were created by Fritz Kredel. Composition and printing were handled by Clarke & Way in New York, using a laid paper specially made for this edition by the Curtis Paper Company of Newark, Delaware. The binding is a three-piece style with natural linen cover sides, blind-stamped on the front with the four monograms. The shelf-back is dark green morocco-grain leather titled in gold.
