Description: FOUR OLD GILDED METAL & ENAMEL MASONIC MEDALS 'AMICUS HUMANI GENERIS' TWO NAMED. Four Victorian issue Freemasons medals in gilded brass and enamels. Two of the medals are engraved named. Used condition. There's a small loop suspender at 12 o' clock on each of the medals for a teal blue ribbon or another loop to go through. Two of the medals are engraved named: 'W. C. BROWN' & 532 'MR K M LOWE 30 * 3 * 1984 Motto on all: Amicus Humani Generis - Latin: (trans) 'friend of the human race'. Medals like these were given to Freemasons who made a substantial financial donation to a Hospital Building Fund or some such similar local community project The pictures refer and are to be considered as part of the item description.
