Description: Rare set of four circa 1860 Rococo triple arm candelabra / girandole mantle set, - solid brass, - Henry Hooper & Co, Boston, - exceptionally cast grape cluster, vine and leaf motif, spray of leaves below candle socket, separate finely cast bobeches of grapes and leaves, - solid brass double step base with classical leaf motif. Normal 0 16” wide, 15” tall, Base-7.5” wide, 3.5” deep. Weight of each - 11 lbs. Condition – excellent, appears to be original finish, includes all six original bobeches. 417h / 1581 - This is the ultimate in 19th century Rococo Revival girandoles - design as well as fine detail. This model is shown in Henry N Hooper & Co 1858 catalog as one of their production models. This three light fixture is listed as number 581 in that catalog. - Identical model is shown in Nineteenth Century Lighting, 1783-1883, by H.
