Because of these characteristics, the shell somewhat resembles a miniature elephant's tusk. They are hollow and open at both ends.OLIVA - It is a smooth, shiny, Cylindrical-shaped shell with a short spire. Oliva (Neocylindrus) carolinensisBALANUS - They take the form of a cone consisting of six plates fixed on the rocks.
