Author Biography José Rafael Prieto is a novelist and a poet. He holds a Bachelors Degree in English and Latin American Studies from Fordham University in New York, and he holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from The Hunter College School of Social Work in New York. He was a high school teacher in New York City for many years (mostly in The Bronx) and he also worked as a social worker in the New York City school system. Aside from that, he has been a clinician in several health care settings in New York and in Florida over the last 35 years. At present, he is focusing on writing literature and on his interests in composing and producing music. Some of his hobbies are photography, films, and playing various instruments which are in reality his other great passion. José Rafael Prieto lives in New York. He has written and published the novel Soul, and this is his first book of poems.
