Description: The album was originally released in 1959 and contains tracks Elvis laid down between 1954 and 1956. The copy in this listing is a re-issue released in 1965. Having just gone into the Army the previous year, 1958, the album was released in order to keep Presley's fame on track while he served. It reached No. 19 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. Among the celebrity musicians backing Presley on this album were Chet Atkins, Floyd Cramer, Ben Speer and Brock Speer, along with regulars Scotty Moore, D J Fontana, Bill Black and The Jordanaires. This example is in great playing condition with little to no noise discernible and great fidelity. Both sides of the disk play equally good. The inner sleeve is original to the album and has a little wear and tear as seen in the photos. The cardboard cover is nice with no seam separation or damage but with some circular shelf wear showing on the front and back (our camera did not pick it up in the photos).
