And anything else i like really.. ********************************************************************************************************** Beautiful Vintage SUPER VINTAGE EARLY FOLK ART HAND MADE PAINTED WOODEN WORKING DOCK CRANE & CATTLE PEN.made in early 20thC. totally originally & came & made in a English private school - the - 'CHRIST'S HOSPITAL' IN WEST SUSSEX .this very well known top private school in south of England was opened in the 19th & is still open today.in the 30's/40's this was made by one of the pupils age 11. for the school's competition . really well made .and looks very realistictypes of different wood/ply//metal parts were used.then primitively painted. lovely original card name tag label and 2nd prize labelstill remains on the cranes base ( as seen) and for his age - its a excellent bit of work lots of the original paint still remains .and there are signs of wear,loss,and some repairs to wood , which you would expect to see from this being looked at and used for many yearsthe crane lifting handle still works .& crane turns freely and its has a wooden pole which goes into a steel type bracket which then makes it turn well.comes with a piglet/animal/cattle style pen and again very well made,, with lovely small metal hinges to the two gates that work well. lovely original paint still remainsall with lovely natural wear with lovely colour and patina..ive gently waxed some areas, and cleaned up lightly in places . but ive left lots of dust as it just adds to the realistic look of this crane look A SUPER CHARMING ONE OFF ORIGINAL ITEMS - rare to find this sort of thing for sale LOOK GREAT AS A CENTER PIECE IN YOUR HOME ,WORK PLACE, PUB OR SHOP PROP ALSO A IDEAL ADDITION FOR A 'O' GAUGE OR GARDEN SIZE MODEL TRAIN LAYOUT sold as seen. no return stands approx.25cm (10") high approx 44cm long. wooden pen approx 22x8x5.
