Description: LONG WAVE UV and PHOSPHORESCENT Beautiful specimen of golden brown fluorite crystal and white Calcite. Often called "Root beer" Fluorite. There are some very nice, well formed and translucent Fluorite crystals on this specimen as well as the Calcite which is also has a really nice terminated crystal on it. The Fluorite has an excellent bright white fluorescent response under long wave UV light and a strong green phosphorescence (afterglow not pictured) From Clay Center, Ottowa County, Ohio. 26 grams including display box. 3.2 cm length.
