Great for dual or tri-stage coats with one hopper filled with a base/primer, one filled with an intermediate coat, and the last hopper filled with your top coat/clear. We've filled our shelves with these - every time we get a new color that we intend to use multiple times on projects - it gets a new fluidizing hopper dedicated to it! A fluidizing hopper helps prevent unwanted large "puffs" of powder and allows a smooth, consistent flow of powder that lays down on your parts easily and smooth. The fluidizer part of the hopper creates two swirl patterns, blowing in the opposite direction, to lift the powder taking it from a solid to near gas-like. The holes created in the fluidizer are sized for the incoming air flow to keep the velocity of the air high. There is a stainless steel ball that is utilized as a check valve to mitigate powder from dropping out of the bottom of the hopper into your air feed line or on the floor when the airline is unhooked. Each complete kit will come assembled and ready to fill with powder right out of the box. You don't have to fiddle with drilling holes in your own bottle with this setup! Also, it comes with a base so you can easily unhook your air line and set it directly down on a table - no need for a separate hopper stand. The complete kit includes the following items:- Clear Hopper Bottle (16 oz capacity)- Fluidizer and nut with 6 mm OD air line fitting, stainless steel check valve ball, and o-ring- Hopper Stand (attaches to the hopper bottle) to be able to set down on a table- Powder Coating Gun Attachment with o-ring on lid- Gun attachment threaded cap to reduce spilling when not in use These kits utilize 3D-printed parts to keep the cost down, as well as the weight of the hopper. They are printed with high-quality PETG filament that has a tendency to not break easily, warp, or damage in heat or outside elements. Due to the nature of 3D printing, your hopper may have a slight variance from those shown in the photographs; however, the integrity of the parts will still be strong. If the hopper is dropped or abused, it is likely to break. Larger hoppers holding more powder can cause threads to break.
