Flow Blue Polychrom New Stone Transferware Ironstone 13.25" Platter, c. 1830's

Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely antique English transferware platter with flow blue design decorated with polychrome enamels. The central design has an Asian influence with rust, ruby, salmon and green enamels added to the flow blue pattern. There are four rust colored panels around the outside edge alternating with flow blue embellished designs. The platter is marked with incised "B. B., New Stone" and several other unidentified incised marks.Measures 1 1/8" high, 13 1/4" long and 10 5/8" wide. Weighs 2 pounds. This nice platter is in very good Estate condition with only a few very minor issued appropriate with age and normal wear. There are a few faint no-harm scratches on the front of the platter and one small nick on the ridge where the border curves down to the center of the platter. There are three small popped bubbles on the back of the platter that most likely happened during production and have discolored over time and some minor rubbing on the bottom edge around the base of the platter. The previous owner paid $750.00 for the platter years ago when it was purchased for her collection - mentioned only for interest.
