Description: Flow Blue Scinde Child's PlateEarly transfer English flow blue small plate in the Scinde pattern by Alcock. The plate has a nicely scalloped edge and t he pattern features a central design with pagoda on the left and flowering lotus blossoms on both sides. The border includes several flowers, leaves and scrolls. It was purchased with other children's pieces. Very nice, small piece with wonderful flow and color in an early pattern. Measures4 1/4″ diameter Marked Scinde in blue and impressed Oriental Stone Alcock; English, c1840-45 Good overall undamaged condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with a nice, high shiny glaze. There is some crazing most noticeable on the back and an inclusion in the pottery also on the back, done in the making. There are typical manufacturing flaws such stilt marks.
