With the Scion OTM (Outdoor Thermal Monocular), you're ready to capture any encounter with people or animals. You now have the highest-tech options, such as the new 12 μm boson detector, three viewing modes, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and endless photo and video recordings. The 12 μm detector gives you a superior viewing experience, combining pixels from multiple shots in real time (60 Hz). This quadruples the resolution of the image! You can zoom out the standard optical zoom by 1.3x using a 2x, 4x, and 8x digital zoom. The OTM366 has three observation modes. You can use standard scan mode to observe as usual. A new feature is Lock-Span mode. Filter out unwanted temperatures you don't want to see. Think very cold or hot temperatures or bright objects like air and fire. Only objects you want to focus on will get a color; filtered objects will be displayed in black. The third mode is Picture-in-Picture. This option is used to zoom in on a certain object in the image (2x), without losing the rest of the field of view. To use the unit, insert the battery compartment supplied with 2, 4, or 6 pieces of CR123 batteries into the compartment. The Scion OTM has a 'smart tray' that recognizes how many batteries are installed. Life with 6 batteries is 4.5 to 5 hours. The thermal monocular can also be used with rechargeable CR123 batteries. The unit also has an automatic shutdown function. Recorded images can be easily transferred to another device using the built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, or via the included USB cable. The thermal imaging camera has 2 GB of internal storage, which you can increase to 128 GB with an optional microSD card.
