Description: For sale is a very hard-to-find metal souvenir building replica of the first National Bank of Amarillo, Texas. It was made by Banthrico in the mid-1950s. Since then, the bank has changed its name and at least at one point became Citizens Federal Savings and Loan Association, as stamped on the bottom. I have never before seen this on other examples of this bank. It measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 4", has excellent detail and retains its' original trap (no key). Compare #956 in Monumental Miniatures. It displays very well and is free of any damage, though there is some minor finish loss as can be seen in the photos. Architecturally, it's one of the more classic, mid-century souvenir building banks.
