Description: Description: A fabulous English Antique late Victorian solid sterling silver large pocket hip flask, which has a rectangular curved shaped plain body, fitted with a hinged twist open and twist shut lid which is fitted with a cork interior and comes with a pull off cup with a gold gilt lined interior. The body is not engraved with any presentation inscriptions, initials, monograms, family crest marks or anything erased. The hip flask is of an excellent useable large size, made of an excellent thick gauge of solid sterling silver and weighs an impressive 211 grams. The hip flask holds up to 200 ml of liquids and the pull off cup 100 ml of liquids with no leaks or any signs of holes. It's from the Queen Victorian period and is of 136 years of age. A splendid rare to come by Victorian hip flask which would make a stunning addition to anyones collection or is ready to be used for its purpose. A excellent clean example from that period. Makers, Assay office & Date Hallmark: George Unite (Registered August 1832), Birmingham and 1888 Measurements: Height 15 cm, Width 7.5 cm and Depth 2.4 cm Condition report: Excellent condition for its 136 years of age with no major dents, dings, holes, splits or repairs. Just has a few tiny dings to the right hand side of the body but overall it's in excellent clean condition for its age. It's an excellent example from the Victorian period and not a modern reproduction. The pull of cup fits perfectly well to the flask, removes as it should with no issues and the gilt interior is in original clean condition. The lid twists open and closes perfectly well with no issues. The interior cork to the lid is in excellent condition with no damage. It holds perfectly well with no leaks its ready to be used. It's an all original matching hip flask which is hallmarked with English solid sterling silver hallmarks to the body and pull off cup which are all very clear and readable. A excellent all original hip flask and hasn't been engraved with a personal inscription. A lovely rare Victorian example and is ready to be added to your collection.
