Signed in Cyrillic on the reverse and dated "1917", the painting probably relates to the first World War, or the Russian war with Turkey at that time.Fine atmospheric painting with strong impasto is set into a later gilt wood carved frame, and aside from some slight warping to the card board, is in good, as found estate condition, with no damages or losses that we could find.
