Description: Offered in this sale is a nice garnet ring with a 14K yellow gold setting. The ring is done in an Art Deco style although it is a relatively modern piece, set with a rectangular cut garnet of excellent deep red color. The setting is nicely made, with a tapered ribbed design that continues all the way around the square setting. The top of the ring, with the gold ribs flanking the emerald cut stone, is truly evocative of the Art Deco style. Marks: Stamped 585 and 14K and with an illegible maker's mark. The weight is 4.8 grams.The ring size is about a 6 1/4. It can be sized larger or smaller. The overall condition is excellent with only the faintest surface scratch to the stone.
