This is a special model using wood that is almost never seen on regular models. In order to take advantage of the beautiful wood grain, a clear pick guard, which is also almost impossible to find on regular models, has been installed. This allows the player to fully enjoy the graininess of the wood itself, while at the same time allowing the player to concentrate on playing without worrying about pick scratches. Myrtle wood is a rare wood with a lighter bark and a variety of unique characteristics. It is said to have both a rich midrange like mahogany and a good response like maple, and when combined with alder, which has a rich low range, it brings out the potential of tonewoods. Fender has often used it in the Custom Shop, but it is almost never used in regular models, making it a rare and precious model. You can enjoy the unique grain patterns that differ from one to another. Alder body is used for the body back material. This tonewood has Fender-like response and rich midrange. The pickups are Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single Coil pickups with staggered pole pieces and a sustain block under the vintage-style bridge. Vintage-style tuners, satin-finish neck, modern “C” shape, 9.5” radius fingerboard, and narrow-tall frets provide smooth playability. The electrical system is passive and follows the traditional Fender sound, while the 5-string design improves playability. This JBV is made of EXOTIC WOOD, which was made possible only by ISHIBASHI FSR. The unique graininess of the wood is different from one to another.
