From Wildwood: "We loved What Joesfina was doing with her handwound pickups and what she was doing after Abbigail retired. Josefina was working under Abby for 10 years. We wanted a vintage vibe to our pickups and asked Fender and Josefina to send us a pair of strat and tele pickups that were 5%,10%,15% and 20% underwound. We did videos of all the pickups and put into the same guitars. We measured them from the pole pieces to the bottom of each high and low E string on the tele and strat to make sure we were hearing the same output from each pickup. We listened to the video of simple chord playing and and simple riff of each pickup through the same amp and mic setting. All of us unanimously agreed that we loved the pickups that were 20% underwound for the teles and the strats. There is something very special about them. They have the perfect amount of compression and the EQ was perfect in everyway. I have been working in music stores since 1990 and this was one of the most amazing things I had ever witnessed. It was so much fun to do."
