Description: FDR PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT TWO ADDRESSES TO 77TH CONGRESS JAN 6 AND 20 1941 Two addresses on 7 10" 78 rpm records. This is a home recording and not a studio recording. The discs are in VG to EX condition. Quite nice overall. And they have an original cardboard branded slip sleeve with notes on the back. These are thin cardboard records like Durium and play very well with typical 78 surface noise, hiss, clicks, ticks and the odd pop. They show some wear from handling but are in quite nice condition overall. They are quite flat overall. The sleeve shows more wear than the records. The Jan 6 address is on five records/nine sides. The 10th side is part of the evening news. It is to the incoming 77th congress. The Jan 20 address is the inaugural address for FDR. It is shorter. Two records/four sides. It is from a rebroadcast probably from the same date. Side 9 of Jan 6 has a pock mark. It plays through for me but may skip a groove or two depending on your needle. Steel needles are not recommended. As these are home recordings, there are some imperfections in reproduction/recording, some glitches and misses here and there, and there are gaps from changing records. Most of the sides are full to the last groove. A nice piece of Presidential history, and home recording history. I play every record I list. I never ship media mail. All records ship boxed.
