Description: WELCOME TO MY LISTING OF THIS,FABULOUS PERIOD WALL CLOCK WHICH WAS USED IN ONE OF THE AIR MINISTRIES OFFICES IN WHITEHALL Circa 1930's-40's APPARENTLY ALSO KNOWN AS THE WHITEHALL GARDEN BUILDINGS OR SO WE WERE TOLD.WE ALSO HAVE A FABULOUS PROPELLER CLOCK & BOOKCASES FROM THE AIR MINISTRY THAT ARE LISTED SEPARATELY. This lovely period wall clock was most likely electric when it was made and has been converted to a modern quartz movement for practical reasons by the previous owner who's father owned all these air ministry pieces we have listed.The quartz movement got broken when they moved and has not been replaced,we won't replace it in case someone wants to put a mechanical movement in instead but can be bought for around £6 or so,it shows only very minimal wear and certainly nothing more than you would reasonably expect to see on a piece of its age and type and should be classed as very good condition indeed.This super looking clock stands,34 cm in height,by 39 cm wide and is 8 cm deep & displays beautifully.All in all,a great looking piece and very well priced.PLEASE STUDY ALL PICTURES AS THIS IS OUR BEST MEANS OF AN ACCURATE DESCRIPTION.
