Description: -:Description:- Exceptional 19th century ice compartment Jug by John Grinsell and Sons. A large heavy silver plated jug with ice or cool water compartment to chill the contents, opened via a screw to base. Heavy embossed highly detailed decoration to every surface. Please note this piece is not marked with a maker, however it is identical to a similar jug I found in my research with the makers mark for John Grinsell and Sons, this just did not have the cooling compartment.
