The piece features a hand-painted garden design with an abstract stream, boarded by a wave pattern and gently scalloped edges. A thick, glossy overglaze protects the lovely pattern! This piece was likely made in the Edo period, as evidenced by the blue banding around the base. The piece is unsigned. Condition: This piece is in EXCELLENT condition! IT shows very little wear and is free of major damage, flaw, or repair! The piece has a ¼” nick to the front of the plate that affects the overglaze, but this is not overtly evident when displayed. The overglaze is bright and glossy and will add glow and beauty to wherever you decide to display it!
