Excellent PORCELIER Slip Shade Ceiling Light Fixture: Art Deco & MCM, Rewired

Description: Vintage PORCELIER 2-Slip Shade Ceiling Light Fixture, Rewired, Excellent! This 2-bulb slip shade ceiling fixture was manufactured by Porcelier sometime during the 1930's to early 1950's, the lifetime of the company. It is in excellent condition and is ready to install on the ceiling. We carefully cleaned the fixture, removing all of the dirt and ceiling paint along the sides and back. The fixture has a cream colored background and is accented with 24k gold trim which is in near perfect condition. The slip shades are light amber in color. The photos show both sides and both ends of the fixtures. The gold accents are in excellent condition, and this is a bonus because the gold is applied on top of the glaze rather than under it, and it is soft and subject to abrasion. We retained the original porcelain and brass sockets which have been rewired with heat resistant wire. The fixture is 13" long, 7" wide, and is 4" high in the center (not including the mounting nut). It uses standard base bulbs (not included). The sale includes the mounting hardware (brass mounting nut, threaded nipple, & crossbar). If you would prefer a different mounting nut, just look over our other Porcelier listings and find one you like better. We usually also have them in antique brass, nickel plated, and statuary brass (dark brown). Just ask and we will substitute if we have it in stock.
