This orchid is widely distributed in the dry areas of Africa. This is easily grown IF you put it in a very sandy mix and treat it like a cactus. It will cluster readily and flower when it is ready. My flower spikes are about 30-50 inches tall and can have 50 or more fairly large attractive flowers.The cluster shown is AN EXCESS STOCK SPECIMEN PLANT. THERE ARE SEVEN HEADS/PSEUDOBULBS IN THE CLUSTER I grow it year round in Southern California, exposed to the winter rains just like my cacti. The bulbs are hard and solid. The leaves are also solid, not flexible at all. They really look like plastic plants. These are very healthy plants grown in full California sun. We are selling this SPECIMEN CLUSTER OF ONE seven (7) bulb cluster as shown for $100. This cluster is plump and vigorous from the heavy winter rains.
